ReYo, or "Kevin" (born August, 1984), is a poet and author from Vacaville, CA (but now resides in Martinez, CA). He collects video games, of which he has over 20 different game consoles and over 750 games.

[edit] Early Life

Kevin grew up in Vacaville, CA, with one older sister and divorced parents. It was early on that he found himself telling anyone he could stories that he'd heard, had happened, or made up in his head, and not long after he learned how to write he was printing them out and dreaming of publication (which didn't happen until after his 20th birthday in the literary magazine Otto). He wrote a book as a project in the second grade titled "The Karate Tournament," taking into account his knowledge of the martial arts (which he studied in the style of Kajukenbo for roughly three years, ending at around ten years old).

As he grew up, he played video games and wondered about the stories throughout them. Tales of saving the world, saving the love of the characters' life, even saving a flag (like the game Plok for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System) enthralled him; and he began to question the small amount of religion brought into his life through both his parents and other, outside sources. He deemed himself an atheist when he was 14 years old (and later what he dubbed being an "authorist," the thought that everything able to be known was written in some way by an outside, author-like figure that created the world that is seen and experienced).

Kevin's credits include one unpublished novel entitled The Games We Play, as well as numerous poems, and is stunted in his preparation to submit a collection of his pieces to a publisher.

Kevin started playing video games back in the late 1980s, in they heyday of the NES by Nintendo. Super Mario Brothers began the trend that he would follow for the following years; playing and buying as many new games as could be bought with lunch money, gift money, even other people's money (meaning parents).

Over the Christmas of 1990, the game that solidified gaming in his life, Super Mario Brothers 3, was given to his sister and him. It was from this game that he would never recover, and continue to play it on and off for many years, finally actually beating the game in 1998.

Since those days he has been a fan of many different companies and game consoles, such as the Sega Genesis and Sega Dreamcast, Sony Playstation, Neo Geo Pocket Color, and Atari 2600 among others. He prides himself on his knowledge of old consoles and their history, as well as his sheer amount of games and obscure factoids about such systems, and hopes that in the future such knowledge will serve him well in his endeavor for a career.

Kevin has been playing poker increasingly, his preferences are Texas Hold 'em, Seven-Card Stud and Omaha Hold 'em. He has been working on his game since he learned how to play Texas Hold 'em, playing multiple no-limit and pot-limit tournaments on the poker site FullTiltPoker.com. He is currently contemplating an attempt at competing in the World Series of Poker this coming event.

As of 9 January 2007, Kevin broke the mark of 770 different video games, and as of 1 June 2007 he has over $300 in tournament winnings.
