Rex Yetman hails from Jamestown, Newfoundland. He was one of the founding members of the York County Boys, Canada's first [[bluegrass[1]]] band, who played around Ontario and eastern Canada through the 1960s and early '70s. Rex plays mandolin and sings lead/backup on the LP Bluegrass Jamboree with the York County Boys, which was the first bluegrass album in Canada. He is currently playing with [[Crooked Stovepipe[2]]] of St. John's, recently awarded the East Coast Music Association Bluegrass album of the year (2006).
