Why are fascists being labelled as revolutionaries ? Srijon (talk) 06:08, 5 April 2008 (UTC)
[edit] M.K.Gandhi
M.K.Gandhi opposed the nationalist revolutionary movement. While heaps of Indians were being mercilessly slaughtered by the British, he opposed minimal violent retaliation by the masses. This act cannot be called anything but an attempt to neutralize the true revolutionary movement. Why are we calling this person a revolutionary? Srijon (talk) 06:08, 5 April 2008 (UTC)
[edit] "Advocating" a revolution
Advocating a revolution is not a valid criterion to be called a revolutionary. For example, many leading figures of certain third world communist parties often spoke strongly in favour of a revolution but in practice engaged in counter-revolutionary activities.
If a prominent figure who advocates a revolution is declared a revolutionary by some revolutionary government, or some party actively engaging in a revolution, only then should he be considered a revolutionary. Srijon (talk) 04:18, 7 April 2008 (UTC)
