Revista de Biologia (ISSN 0034-7736) is a peer-reviewed, broad scope scientific journal that publishes novel research of special significance in all areas of biology. The journal contains rich literature about mediterranean and tropical ecology and has been published by the Botanical Garden of the University of Lisbon on a semi-annual basis since 1956.
Until 1974, Revista de Biologia was jointly edited by the Botanical Gardens of Rio de Janeiro, Lisbon, Dundo and Lourenço Marques.
Current editors are portuguese botanists Mª Amélia Martins-Loução, Fernando Catarino and Ireneia Melo.
