User talk:Retired username/list

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

All appear to have been basically addressed. Ones that had to be deleted need to have stubs written to replace them still though. Total time spent doing the basic remove work: <2 hours.

It could be useful to note through what username or IP the material was inserted and at what date - that could enable us to track down more plagiarism from the same contributors. Brandt originally suggested this but I think it's a good idea and I think we should do it. I've added a few IDs. Haukur 21:55, 23 October 2006 (UTC)

Another important task for anyone who's interested is replacing all the articles that had to be completely deleted with at least a stub. -- Vary | Talk 17:45, 24 October 2006 (UTC)

And taking them out again, because they're already there. Sorry! -- Vary | Talk 14:42, 26 October 2006 (UTC)

It would be useful to have a script/bot to check for all articles started by a given plagiarizer. User:Interiot has a script like that, maybe we could ask him to help. Haukur 22:11, 24 October 2006 (UTC)

Did you try posting on the noticeboard to see if anyone knows of a tool that might do the job? Seeing all of an editor's contributions that added over a certain number of characters would be great, too, but I'll bet that'd be tough to do.
Do we know when this second list is coming out? I bet we've got a good 50% of them dealt with already. There were originally meant to be another 70, right? -- Vary | Talk 13:38, 26 October 2006 (UTC)
I think it's already there, check Brandt's page - it has more than a hundred entries now. I think he just added to the bottom of the columns without commenting. More alert people than we seem to have already cleaned them up :) I don't know if we got any before he posted them, you could try asking him. Haukur 14:05, 26 October 2006 (UTC)
Oh, how funny. I've been so busy cleaning up after RJ, I didn't even look. Adding the names from the second part of the list, just for completeness's sake. -- Vary | Talk 14:38, 26 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Det Danske Spejderkorps

I think I found the source of Det Danske Spejderkorps. Now what? - makomk 19:19, 5 November 2006 (UTC)
