I question whether the article is accurate. The term "Retro" seems to refer to 1950's. This article appears to be by the author of the Retro-housewife website. Retro is often used to refer to the 1950s, that is true, however in a more general sense it has a broader meaning and denotes a nostalgia for the past. I added the link to the book page as a reference, but I have nothing to do with the book Retro Housewife: A Salute to the Suburban Superwoman (Hardcover) by Kristin Tillotson.
Rather, this is a shift in women's attitudes away from 1970s feminisim. The Retro Housewife 22:15, 3 July 2007 (UTC)
