Retas!Pro is a 2D Animation software developed and sold by Celsys. It is available for Microsoft Windows and Mac OS X. It specializes in anime from the entire animation production from digitally drawing or tracing to exporting in Flash and QuickTime, and is popular in Japan's anime industry. The current softwares being sold are: STYLOS HD, Traceman HD,PaintMan HD, and CoreRETAS HD.

[edit] STYLOS HD
STYLOS HD handles the vector and raster graphics which is used to draw the objects being animated. It is capable of multi layer structure, digital dope sheet (X-sheet), onion skinning, ereasing vector lines, line width control,ect. [1]

Traceman HD is a scanning and tracing tool that supports 48-bit scanning and is capable of converting scanned images into vector images. With 48-bit scannning, the image quality improves significantly with less deterioration while image adjusting. [2]

PaintMan HD digitally paints images from STYLOS HD and TraceMan HD. [3]
[edit] CoreRETAS HD
CoreRETAS HD shoots and composites the animation. The process is similar to the traditional shooting of cels and backgrounds with an animation camera. It is capable of panning traditionally and three-dimensionally, manipulating motion paths, and exporting to FLASH, Quicktime, and AVI (Windows Only).
