Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, one or more of the external links you added to the page Henry Heimlich do not comply with our guidelines for external links and have been removed. Wikipedia is not a collection of links; nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Since Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, external links do not alter search engine rankings. If you feel the link should be added to the article, please discuss it on the article's talk page before reinserting it. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. WLU (talk) 15:17, 26 January 2008 (UTC)

Please stop adding inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did to Henry Heimlich. It is considered spamming and Wikipedia is not a vehicle for advertising or promotion. Since Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, additions of links to Wikipedia will not alter search engine rankings. If you continue spamming, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Please do not continue reverting, your external links do not comply with our guidelines. I would be happy to help you integrate them into the body, but continuing to revert without discussing is not a good practice to continue and can result in violations of the three revert rule and can result in both your account and your IP address being blocked. Your links can be integrated into the page, just not as external links. They are useful as inline citations if the sources are reliable. WLU (talk) 20:22, 26 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Thanks

Thanks for placing the links in the text itself, you may want to consider using citation templates and in-line citation; it generates a standardized template that ensures the reader has full access to all the information they might want to know about the sources themselves. Here's some relevant links:

Also note that in general, quotations are not used heavily in the body text of wikipedia articles. WP:QUOTE has more information, as does WP:SS; in general, extensive quotations are seen as placing undue weight on the statement itself - since quotations are rare, they stand out when used.
