Re adjective/noun: that's what I thought.. I've always heard it referred to as either a "residential zone" or "residential area". Perhaps the page should be moved to one of those titles? -- Hadal 09:42, 22 Mar 2004 (UTC)

"he acts like a residential", i.e. one who unfamiliar with an urban area (aka "Resident"). Considering how stubby it is, I don't know that it matters, but residential has more than two links to it. Ronabop 10:22, 22 Mar 2004 (UTC)

I think the term is more to do with Real Estate. And if anything it should be changed to Residential Property and there should be a corresponding article about commercial property. I would like to add more to this article on that basis - please let me know if anyone disagrees.

It has to do with land use and zoning. A residential area is usually zoned to permit only dwellings; although, natural patterns of settlement may result in a residential area. Fred Bauder 16:34, 22 December 2006 (UTC)
