Respectable Groove

Respectable Groove is a quartet of British musicians, playing recorder, harpsichord, double bass and percussion. The group plays mediaeval, renaissance and baroque music with jazz and contemporary influences, including improvisation.

Respectable Groove comprises David Gordon on harpsichord, Evelyn Nallen on recorder, Oli Hayhurst on double bass, and Tom Hooper on percussion.

Their other activities ranging from French baroque dance music to tango to club scene and folk music. Respectable Groove has released several albums: Tell-Tale Ducks, Mysterious Barracudas. The most recent is a contemporary take on Henry Purcell's Dido & Aeneas.
