Research associate

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The title of research associate is used to denote a research position in universities or industrial companies. While many organizations use the title research associate for researchers who hold a bachelor or master degree, many research associates in universities hold a doctoral degree.

Research associates conduct their work at a pre- or post-doctoral level under the supervision of their research supervisor.

In some European universities the research associates may work and get honorarium against the vacant post of lecturers.
