Wikipedia talk:Requests for checkuser/Case/Emnx

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

I'd like to add some evidence to the pot in case this has been missed. I'm not sure how checkuser works, or even if I'm allowed to post here, but since it's my name and reputation being muddied then I feel I have a right. Here are some edit histories in case they were overlooked:
  • Example #1

I highlighted in bold those where the time is in fact exactly the same, but the other examples also show how both users were editing different articles at around about the same time. How is this possible if the allegations are true? Has this evidence been overlooked? Is agreement over one AfD grounds for assuming sockpuppetry? If so, why? ColdmachineTalk 10:48, 14 June 2007 (UTC)

I've discussed this with Coldmachine prior to today and if you look on User talk:Coldmachine you will see I stated

I am based in the UK and my ISP is BT (along with around 3,000,000 other BT users!)Arthana

User:Coldmachine replied

I'm based in the UK too but my ISP is Orange Coldmachine

I hardly see how you can conceive it possible that Coldmachine and I are one and the same using two different ISPs to make edits at the same time.

Furthermore I would also again stress that BT (my ISP) has 3 million broadband customers. Searching Google I found numerous references to the fact the Orange Internet customers use subcontracted BT Servers — Orange has in total 2 million internet customers (I don't know if Coldmachine has broadband or not but if so, then it is 1 million customers).

Perhaps it's confusing because we are English and we are just 2 of 4 million customers using BT or BT based services and we all look alike?

[edit] Possible IP Address Change Arthana

At approx. 14:43 gmt my ISP 'flushed' my connection as I have been having speed problems. This may or may not have changed my IP address which is dynamic. I don't keep records of IPs so have no knowledge of any changes that may have occurred.--Arthana 13:54, 14 June 2007 (UTC)
