Wikipedia talk:Requested articles/Culture and fine arts/Literature
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
After some tidying up a lot of things still need to be done. First of all, this list of authors should be put into alphabetical order according to the authors' surnames. Also, it might be worth the effort to check how many of the requests here could be removed because they (a) are in fact acts of vandalism, (b) do not meet Wikipedia's notability guidelines, or (c) already have an article under a different (maybe just a corectly speld) title. <KF> 05:02, 15 February 2008 (UTC)
- Small point: Wikipedia:Notability isn't supposed to apply to red links; the guideline is for those is whether they "could plausibly sustain an article". I think the idea is that, if someone comes along and thinks they can make a good case for the book or author's notability, they put it in an article; if not, the link stays red and no harm is done.
- It might be a good idea to require article requests to be signed, though, to make it easier to track spam and vandalism. I'm not sure why that's not currently a rule. Maybe propose it at Wikipedia talk:Requested articles? --DocumentN (talk) 03:31, 21 February 2008 (UTC)
