Wikipedia:Requests for wheels (on wheels)
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Requests for wheels (RFW) is the process by which the Wheels Committee decides which portions of the Wikipedia should be placed on wheels.
The procedure for accepting requests is described in the Wheels policy. If you are going to make a request here, you must be brief and cite supporting diffs. New requests to the top, please. You are required to place a notice on the talk page of each article you request wheels for.
0/0/0/0 corresponds to Wheels Com member votes to accept/ reject/ recuse/ other.
This is not a page for discussion, and Wheelers may summarily remove or refactor discussion without comment.

[edit] How to request wheels
Under the below Current requests section:
- Click "[edit]";
- Copy the full formatting template (text will be visible in edit mode), ommitting the lines which say "BEGIN" and "END TEMPLATE";
- Paste template text where it says "ADD REQUEST BELOW";
- Follow instructions on comments (indented), and fill out the form;
- Remove the template comments (indented).
- Open the source and destination pages in two separate edit windows/tabs.
- Cut/paste the entire content from the source page into the destination page and remove the {{mergefrom}} tag.
- Save the destination page, with an edit summary noting "merge content from [[article name]]"
- Delete all the text from the source page and replace it with
#REDIRECT [[PAGENAME]] {{R from merge}}, note the merger (including the page names) in the edit summaries, and save the page. - Edit the destination page again and delete the redundant content, editing until it looks good and consistent.
- Save the destination page. (Edit summary of "cleanup after paste/merge" is appropriate.)
- Check "What links here" on the source page for double-redirects.
Note: Please do not remove or alter the hidden template.
[edit] How wheels are given out
The Wheels Com only accepts requests for wheels on April 1 of any year. This is so they can deliberate on giving out wheels until the next April 1; in fact, the algorithm they use (it involves a lemur, a xylophone, and occasionally Alf Garnett) is so secret, they have to delete this page until April 1 of next year. Keep this in mind if you're thinking of a pair of wheels.
Oh, yeah, and just so you know, every nomination from 2007 got its wheels.
