The situation: Faggaoopaats, Jaasmeimer Zoosteraatz, Klerksdoorp, NotebookSevereConditions, and Suud Vaastereimergraadt are all clear, abusive sockpuppets of one another. User:Zwerrifringweraand got caught in an autoblock from the Suud Vaastereimergraadt account, and was blocked indefinitely for abusing multiple accounts by User:Netsnipe. I found about this via CAT:RFU. Zwerrifringweraand's explanation is that he is living in Zimbabwe, and connects via a British proxy, as do others in the area. This explanation explains everything (the IP collision and the Afrikaans names), but it's a little fishy. But what makes Netsnipe and I want a checkuser most is the possibility of a connection to Molag Bal. Zwerrifringweraand is not a vandal, but neither is he an ideal editor: he seems like a typical newbie to me. But Netsnipe mentioned that Molag Bal also had a "good hand" sockpuppet, so it's worrying. The connection is that User:Jaasmeimer Zoosteraatz was marked as a sockpuppet of Molag Bal before Netsnipe remarked it as a sockpuppet of Zwerrifringweraand.
