Repeatedly spams San Francisco Bay Area, warned many many times to stop, but continues. I have (admittedly) confronted the user on his website, but issued a legal threat stating the rationale: you do not own Wikipedia. Page was recently unprotected earlier this month and spamming restarted at 28 April. BoL (Talk) 05:33, 27 April 2008 (UTC)
- BoL, You may want to have SF Bay Area reprotected temporarily. Geoff Plourde (talk) 06:10, 27 April 2008 (UTC)
- I'll consider that, but this has been going on for 5 months now, and he only stopped when I had the page semi'd, and the links blacklisted, but I'm not taking it to RPP mainly we lost good anon-contributors over the protection. This has to be settled once and for all, but I'll retract the case when I get the links blacklisted and the page protected. Thanks. BoL (Talk) 01:40, 28 April 2008 (UTC)
Confirmed although its rather obvious, and as they are dynamic IPs that belong to two large ISPs, rangeblocking would cause a lot of collateral damage. If you don't want to semi-protect the article you'll just have to watch the page, rollback any new linkspam and block the underlying IP for 24 hours or so.
Subsequent requests related to this user should be made above, in a new section.
