[edit] Bahameenballin

Bahameenballin has returned, clearly stating who he is [1] [2]: IP block please, if possible. Acroterion (talk) 21:27, 9 June 2008 (UTC)

  • Clerk assistance required: Add to Wikipedia:Requests for checkuser/Case/Bahameenballin. Thatcher 02:24, 10 June 2008 (UTC)
  • Confirmed, IP block is tricky, we'll see if it holds. Thatcher 02:28, 10 June 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Bahameenballin

  • Supporting evidence:

Most of these accounts have harassed AlexiusHoratius (talk · contribs)

and in consequence have been blocked. New accounts pop up nonetheless for more abuse. Many are focused on basketball-related edits and frequently edit each others pages [10], [11], apart from the obvious similarities in naming. Assassin of Joy (talk · contribs) has a very similar editing pattern [12], but avoids overt trouble. Obviously the variations on Bahameenballin are socks of each other, and most or all of the X of Y are related. Acroterion (talk) 01:42, 10 May 2008 (UTC)

Acroterion sums it up pretty well. As for the connection between the two groups, I dug a bit into Assassin of Joy's history and found this: On Assassin of Joy's sixteenth edit, he does this to Bahameenballin2's page, which looks similar to what he does to Eliminator of Happyness' page here. (Note too the similarity in the user pages of Bahameenballin2 and Eliminator of Happyness.) For his second edit, Destroyer of Elation gives me a barnstar for getting Bahameenballin blocked. Also, on User talk:Eliminator of Happyness, E of H claims, in his request for an unblock, that I am a sock of Bahameenballin. Again, this evidence is meant to show both a connection between the X of Y group with the Baha group, as well as Assassin of Joy's early interest in one of the Bahameenballin socks, an interest shown by other members of the X of Y group. AlexiusHoratius (talk) 03:25, 10 May 2008 (UTC)

I suspect there are sleepers. There are others who have harassed AlexiusHoratius who don't display clear editing or naming pattern-related links. I don't think they're related, but it's possible, as AH has received an unusual amount of attention, tightly focused on edits to his userpage. Acroterion (talk) 13:52, 10 May 2008 (UTC)
