[edit] Definition of Renewable resource an solar energy

As of now the article claims that "Renewable resource" MUST " have a way of regenerating itself ", immediately after solar energy is listed as Renewable resource. However i do no think that there is way for the sun to "regenerate itself". Can someone clarify this point?--Hq3473 04:57, 30 January 2007 (UTC)

It's not the sun that is regenerated, but the energy supply from the sun. Think of the sun as being a generator of solar radiation where the wave of energy flux is constantly being generated. Something about human time scales and the sun's lifecycle should possibly be mentioned. - Shiftchange 03:20, 3 February 2007 (UTC)

I modified the opening sentence in a way addresses this (plus other resources, too). In fact, this section should be modified to call solar radiation, tides, and wind perpetual resources; the term renewable isn't particularly useful, given the billions of years that these resources have been and will continue to be active.

[edit] Nobody watches this page

I've just reverted the page to my last reversion back in November 07. I'm fairly sure there hasn't been any improvement, but there has certainly been a lot of vandalism while I was away, much of which seems not to have been reverted. This page is constanly under attack, as it has been reverted at least 5 times since I checked it last night. Please WP:RFPP this if it continues to get out of hand. --wL<speak·check> 11:16, 11 January 2008 (UTC)
Probably not enough for a semi-protection, even though most if not all of the edits are vandalism... we really need a decent system for ensuring pages are kept vandalism free, as opposed to our current 'let's hope pages don't get vandalized, and if they do let's hope there's somebody watching them, even though we have no way of knowing if there is' non-system. I think page is sorely in need of help. Apart from the one clear line that introduces the article, the rest of the page needs a lot of cleanup and work. I don't see how sustainable agriculture has anything to do with renewable energy - it's a far stretch for those saying that renewable ag -> corn -> ethanol -> biofuels -> repeat cycle.
