Renewable energy is energy from a source which can be managed so that it is not subject to depletion in a human timescale. Sources include the sun's rays, wind, waves, rivers, tides, biomass, and geothermal. Renewable energy does not include energy sources which are traditionally thought to be dependent upon limited resources, such as fossil fuels and nuclear fission power.
