Remote Disc is a piece of software to be used with Apple Inc.'s MacBook Air that allows it to access the optical disc drive of a Mac or PC in the same wireless network and use it to install software. The software does not allow the playback of DVDs or CDs, nor does it allow the installation of Microsoft Windows. In addition, the importation and playback of music is not made possible from CDs.[1] For these features, an external USB drive is necessary.
