ReLogic
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
ReLogic is a Denver, Colorado based full service residential real estate brokerage. ReLogic offers services to residential real estate consumers at reduced costs. [1] These services consist of listing services for sellers and acquisition services for buyers. ReLogic enables consumers to control the home buying or selling process from the comfort of their home or office. Consumers have an Internet-enabled approach to the real estate process and have access to a team of agents. The website gives clients access to comprehensive available home listings data, including pictures from the local Multiple Listing Service, information on schools, local demographics and recent neighborhood sales. Google maps is also utilized to show local amenities.
ReLogic joins Redfin and ZipRealty as internet-centric lower-cost alternatives to the conventional residential real estate agent model. [2]
ReLogic's website and servies were launched in Denver in Spring 2007. [3]
[edit] Controversy
Many discount brokerage vendors such as ReLogic have opened their doors with the popularity of the internet. These vendors often refer to themselves as "full service" brokerages; however, they do not offer the same level of service as traditional real estate brokers. Discount services offer a price model to the consumer that is time sensitive. Thus, if a consumer wants more broker time, they are forced to pay more in broker fees. With the purchase of a home being the largest purchase that most consumers will ever make, they are often more comfortable with a broker that has little interest in constraining the time to select a home.
