[edit] Leonard Ronald Egesa

Ronald Leonard Egesa was born to a business man called Sande Peter and teacher Anna Nafula in 1984. His father was the P.R.O and M.D of Bazira Construction as he recalls. During his childhood, he suffered greatly from chicken pox for over 2 years which interfered with his Education.

The family went through a very challenging time between 1991 and 1995, and in the same period he lost his parents. His elder sister, Catherine Nambudye, who died of severe respiratory distress in November 2005 mothered and fathered all the siblings. Egesa says he had and still has strong attachment to this sister of his, the reason he gave in to pursue civil engineering at university ahead of his preferred and desired computer science degree.

Egesa's classmates recall that he was the brightest kid they ever studied with and all they knew was that he would score 100% in Mathematics and 99% in other subjects. He was well balanced as early as primary school. He passionately loved football, loved politics, loved reasoning and was terrific at debating and was born a leader.

One Martin Sendawula, his primary school Mathematics teacher has this to say, "Ronald Egesa made his class work appear so soft!" and another teacher of his, John says, "He was the first student i taught and got full percentage marks in an Examination"

Ronald Leonard Egesa is one of the rare talents you will find in Uganda. He has been known as an eloquent speaker, logician, mathematician, politician, writer, computer enthusiast among other things. He has been a certified contestant at the National Mathematics contest 3 times in his school days.

Egesa's prominence in the technology world stretches back to his third year at secondary school. In October 2000, he outsmarted everyone from primary school to University at the National Science and Technology Fair and won the best technology Exhibitor award after demonstrating a rare ability to showcase microprocessor programming in a microelectronics project that automated a number of activities.

Ronald Egesa studied on Best Performers' Bursaries given by the School board of Governors at St. Peter's Secondary School Nsambya and Old Kampala Senior Secondary School for all the years in secondary and high school. Ronald Leonard Egesa went on to be the best Science Student in the Capital at UACE 2003 after scoring 6ABAA in General Paper, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Economics respectively.

Some of his High School Classmates recall that he solved the A level Pure Mathematics books in a record 10 days. Tom Makumbi says, "Egesa was called Prof. -meaning Professor because he was a class apart!" Egesa often challenged his Mathematics and Physics Teachers. He demonstrated rare ability at grasping very complex topics in Mechanics, Algebra, Calculus and Physics. He says he turned a scholarship to pursue Physics and Astronomy in Britain and opted for a degree at local Makerere University. He pursued Civil engineering at Makerere University Kampala from 2004. He has also been enrolled at a UK University for a BS in Business Information systems.

In the Business world, Egesa founded Magezi Solutions, a prominent software company in East Africa. He narrates that he continues to passionately serve as the Managing Director of Chief Executive Officer. He has been directing the business and reviewing every line of code that comes from the company. His Company, Magezi solutions Inc. is the company tha developed the free Academic Records Information system(ARIS) called Magezi Harvest in use in many Ugandan Secondary Schools.

On the social ground, Egesa is humourous, kind and caring. He is very persuasive in speech and permissible. However, one close friend states that he is strict and will stick to what is right with little or no compromise at all. It is said that he has been spotted dancing once in a while, visiting beaches, going to theatre La Bonita, watching Liverpool Fc games(- a liverpool fan). When you meet him in any of these events, it is hard to notice that he is the Computer Programmer every one talks about in Kampala! Some people are asking, is he Uganda's Bill Gates? His ideas leave people wondering if he could be the next Isaac Newton,Albert Einstein, Bill Gates..?? His understanding of Telecommunications is fascinating and the fact that he has trained himself computer programming and demonstrated that he can go ahead to lead a successful firm.

Ronald Leonard Egesa goes to Calvary Chapel Kampala - a born-again Church, though he confesses that his mother had wanted him to pursue priesthood in the catholic Religion. He says he turned down the priesthood ambition, preferring to be a scientist. More information about Ronald Leonard Egesa could be accessed from Google and other search Engines.
