[edit] Semple's attempt
More on Semple's attempt to cut through Beacon Hill here; probably not citable in itself, but suggestive of what we should be looking for. - Jmabel | Talk 10:05, 8 December 2007 (UTC)
[edit] largest regrade in urban history?
Probably not, if you consider the works in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, (about the same time as the regrade took place in Seattle) wich leveled a massive hill and reoriented the streets in downtown Rio in order to build a large avenue and waterfront and make way for the city's further expaansion southwards. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 201.37.62.163 (talk) 13:53, 13 December 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Map needed
I think this page needs a map of the city, so that people unfamiliar with the geography can see the layout of the neighborhoods discussed. Can anyone provide one? Polytrope (talk) 14:23, 13 December 2007 (UTC)
- I agree, we need a map or two. 204.52.215.107 (talk) 15:35, 13 December 2007 (UTC)
