Regional record
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The term regional record can have two meanings:
- In the Olympic Games and sports is the record time of the fastest athlete in an athletic course. Regional record is akin to world record.
- In media, it is the record of the releases of the library or series of video games, anime, or motion pictures on the basis of region, especially among countries or continents. Japan-only means marketed exclusively in Japan, and Europe-only means marketed exclusively in Europe. Regional records sometimes influence audiences to learn the language of the country that the particular region favors.
