Could someone please expand this article to include all waves. For instance, an echo is caused by sound waves reflecting off of large solids.

Reflection isn't really limited to waves, either...

I'm not convinced that the example of a mirror fits well at all with the definition in relation to refraction. There also needs to be some explanation of the role of metal as a reflector providing as it does very high reflectivity.

Yes and I would like to know wether microwaves can be reflected. And if not which wavelengths can be reflected and from which medium.
