"Refugee" is the second single from Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers' album Damn the Torpedoes. It peaked at #15 on the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart in 1980.
It was covered by Melissa Etheridge in 2005 for her Greatest Hits: The Road Less Traveled album, and reached #96 on the Billboard Pop 100.
