[edit] Midway class

Hello, I've noticed that you removed the {{USS}} templates from the infobox on Midway-class aircraft carrier. I have restored them adding back the hull numbers which your edits added. Please take a look at the capabilities of the template before making further edits of the same type. Thanks, -MBK004 04:57, 6 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit] March 2008

Hello. Please don't forget to provide an edit summary, which wasn't included with your recent edit to Forrestal class aircraft carrier. Thank you. -MBK004 04:59, 6 March 2008 (UTC)

Hi Redjacket3827. I've noticed a few times you've posted comments on talk pages with your signature first. Generally, one puts one's signature at the end, so it's easier to read. It might seem like a lot of people are upset with you right now, but please don't take it the wrong way. We're just trying to let you know how things work around here. I hope you take it in stride, and continue to contribute to Wikipedia. If you have any questions, feel free to ask me, and I'll do my best to help you. Also, welcome to WP:Ships, it's good to have another contributor aboard. Parsecboy (talk) 04:11, 8 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit] HTML reverted

Hello. Just wanted to let you know that I reverted your insertion of HTML in the Belknap class cruiser, Galveston class cruiser, Boston class cruiser, and Providence class cruiser articles. Generally speaking, only wiki code should be used in articles. --Kralizec! (talk) 15:41, 6 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Sweeping changes to ship-related articles.

I realize that you are new. But you have continued to make sweeping changes without discussing them. I would like to direct you to Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Ships. Please discuss any changes you believe need to be made on this page. There needs to be a consensus to make the changes that you have been making. Also, continuing your present course of action can result in a block for disruption. -MBK004 02:20, 8 March 2008 (UTC)

Well, per WP:OWN, the pages are not owned by anyone, but they are not in the public domain either. They are licensed GFDL. I will attempt to explain why consensus is required below. Although you may think that there does not need to be consensus, there does because that is one of the things that Wikipedia is based on. Accordingly, I again ask you to please discuss what you think needs to be changed at the talk page I have linked to above at WikiProject Ships, where a group of editors (myself included) work to maintain and write articles related to ships. We try to keep the articles to the same standards, and that requires discussing proposed changes because of the number of articles (hence sweeping changes). I hope to see you there on the talk page, and I hope that you consider joining us. -MBK004 03:42, 8 March 2008 (UTC)

Hello. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You may also click on the signature button Image:Signature_icon.png located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you. -MBK004 03:57, 8 March 2008 (UTC)
