Template:Rediruser-warn

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

A tag has been placed on [[:{{{1}}}]], requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a redirect to a user page from the main/article space.

If you can fix the redirect to point to a regular Wikipedia article rather than a user page, please do so and remove the speedy deletion tag. However, please do not remove the speedy deletion tag unless you are fixing the redirect. If you think the redirect should be retained as is for some reason, you can request that administrators wait a while before deleting it. To do this, affix the template {{hangon}} to the page and state your reasoning on the article's talk page. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this.

[edit] Usage

  • No Header {{subst:Rediruser-warn|(name of deleted page)}}.
  • Linked Header {{subst:Rediruser-warn|(name of deleted page)|header=1}}.
  • Own Header {{subst:Rediruser-warn|(name of deleted page)|header=1|header-text=(header text)}}.

Template usage notes
  • Most test(n) templates take a single optional parameter: the name of the page to which the template applies. If provided, this page will be cited in the warning.
  • test5 optionally takes two parameters:
    1. The first is the duration of the block (with "temporarily blocked" as the default if a specific period is not provided).
    2. The second is the name of the page to which the template applies. If provided, this page will be cited in the warning.
  • Please refer to the index of test templates before using any template on user talk pages to warn a user. Applying the best template available for your purpose may help reduce confusion from the message you are sending.
  • Please remember to substitute the template—use {{subst:Rediruser-warn}} rather than {{Rediruser-warn}}.
