[edit] Notability

I've put the notability tag back on this page. Generally churches are not considered notable unless they are particularly large or have a particularly rich history. The only way that notability can be proven is through multiple non-trivial coverage in the media (WP:RS). As the only source right now is the church's own web site, the notability tag should stay on until additional sources are provided. —BradV 19:19, 30 May 2008 (UTC)

So really this holds true to almost all of the other entries for churches, isn't that correct? For example how is this church notable? Our Redeemer Lutheran Church. There are a handful of other church's that would as qualify. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Metro3947 (talk • contribs) 20:04, 30 May 2008 (UTC)

I don't think it is either. I've tagged it. —BradV 20:05, 30 May 2008 (UTC)
Can you point me to a good example of a church entry? I'm having trouble finding one on my own. —Metro3947 20:13, 30 May 2008 (UTC)
Towson United Methodist Church is listed as a good article. —BradV 20:19, 30 May 2008 (UTC)
Thank you so much for showing me this. This really helps me out. I'll get working on it tomorrow.—Metro3947 09:53, 3 June 2008 (UTC)
I'm sure there are numerous stories in the Elmhurst Press, if you can get into back issues. MisfitToys (talk) 00:51, 5 June 2008 (UTC)
