RedGorilla Music Fest is held annually in Austin, Texas. In 2008 the festival played host to over 300 bands and solo artists^[1] from all over the U.S.A. RedGorilla Music Fest is a free event and is open to all ages. None of the bands get paid for playing this festival, therefore the event tends to attract smaller bands looking to take advantage of a publicity boost and a chance to sell some merchandise.

Although the festival is held in Austin at the same time of year as the much larger SXSW festival, the two are in no way affiliated with each other.
