Red Shadow is the official international title for Red Shadow 赤影 (Red Shadow Aka kage), a 2001 film by Japanese film maker Hiroyuki Nakano.


Red Shadow is a remake of the 1967 TV series, Kamen no Ninja Aka-Kage (仮面の忍者 赤影), created by Mitsuteru Yokoyama. It stars Masanobu Ando in the title role and features a guest star appearance of Tomoyasu Hotei returning from the 1998 spinoff and virtual prequel Samurai Fiction.

The title is taglined "The Ninja Movie" in Japan and in other countries.
