The Red Salamander (Pseudotriton ruber) is a species of salamander in the Plethodontidae family. It is endemic to the United States.
Its natural habitats are temperate forests, temperate shrubland, rivers, intermittent rivers, and freshwater springs. It is threatened by habitat loss.
