[edit] Plot

The film stars Australian native and acting newcomer Morgan Thompson as "Red". Her life is preserved by "The Hunter", played by Henry Cavill. With cap, cloak, a musket, and noble white steed, "The Hunter" and Baron of this enchanted forest rescues "Red" from the clutches of felonius "Wolf" misdeeds.

[edit] Production

The film was pre-set and filmed in 2003, tested in 2004, then in 2006 released on screen at the 1st International Digital Cinema Festival in Lisbon.

When asked by Steve Austin of TAG Entertainment to Direct a standard children's movie using traditional props and filming technique, Randal Kleiser took the theme then thought up this concept of intra-posed reactive special effects for the project. Kleiser also Directed the musical film's computer preparation, stage photography, and post production, that represents the first time cinema has been shot on sets of live 3D virtual reality, and this for the major portions of the movie.

The rhyme and score are by Bruce Roberts, mostly Broadway style vignette and performed by career singers who play their parts with song and dance in this musical comedy. Debi Mazar and Lainie Kazan play the mother and grandmother of "Red" respectively. Joey Fatone is a likeable "Wolfie" with super-natural powers.

The film uses an experimental approach to High Def cinema. Vivid digital photography and multi-dimensional virtual reality effects are the creation of David Stump, Scott Billups, Stephen Sobisky, cameramen B. Sean Fairburn and Joe DeGenero, plus many more technical experts from around the film world who Randal Kleiser milled into service. The 3D effects are pre-fixed to camera renderings using many computers with new interactive software. Visual depth of field perspectives are created by traversing cameras and dramatic action within a global computer deep matrix pegged to the physical mechanics of cameras, stages, and props. Fashioned digital studio screen sets' environmental rally make it a happening of high artistic craft, present a veering transitory look, and ephemeral luster.
