The Red Cross Book (RCB) is the unofficial name of a Japanese pamphlet that was sold in the cinema to people who came to see The End of Evangelion. It cost 800 yen.

The book is A-4 in size and landscape in orientation. The cover is black with a red Georgian cross superimposed on it, hence the name "Red Cross Book". On the cross, the words "THE END OF EVANGELION" are printed.

This book is essentially a glossary for most of the terms used in the Neon Genesis Evangelion series, manga, and the two movies (Death and Rebirth and The End of Evangelion). The book is canon material, authored by Gainax and various members of the Evangelion TV series and movie staff. For those unfamiliar with the series before the film, this book defines the terms and recounts the events leading up to the film.

Besides the glossary, it contained an interview with deputy director Kazuya Tsurumaki; a commentary on the TV series; a commentary on the production of the movies; a section listing the seiyuu, short biographical sketches, and brief essays by the seiyuu on their respective characters. There is also a brief and allusive "Notes" section which covers the setting of the movies.
