Red Bird Missionary School is a private K-12 christian school located in rural Clay County, Kentucky six miles north of Beverly on the bank of the Red Bird River. It is operated by the Red Bird Missionary Conference of the United Methodist Church. It serves students from Clay, Leslie and Bell counties.
The high school is known for its basketball program and was featured in the 2001 ESPN documentary "The Season". Red Bird's mascot is the Cardinals.
The school was built on concrete pilings to prevent being flooded by the river.
