Recycle It, Don't Trash It!, is the name of an anti-pollution slogan that was included on all arcade games imported into the US from 1989 through to the 1990s. The message appeared during the attract modes of both video games and on some pinball machines. It was established by EPA Administrator William K. Reilly with an agreement with the AAMA. It was part of the government's "Trashing it is completely uncool" campaign, and, by extension, part of the larger War on Pollution effort. By law, it had to be included on all imported arcade games and continued to appear long after Reilly left office. The quote normally appeared in blue against a white background with the EPA seal on the bottom left and Reilly's signature on the bottom right.
