Recurrent brief depression
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Recurrent Brief Depression (RBD) is often incorrectly described as a milder form of clinical depression. It commonly involves symptoms similar to that of major depression, but during episodes of less than two weeks (the minimum period for a depression to be categorized as a major depression according to DSM-IV). People suffering from RBD often have depressive episodes lasting 2-3 days, at a frequency of about once a month.
Research is currently being undertaken to find out more about this condition.
