RecentChangesCamp is an unconference or BarCamp focused on wikis. The cost of the Camp is paid by sponsors, and is free to attendees. There is no need to pre-register, but attendees are encouraged to enter their name on the RecentChangesCamp homepage.

[edit] 2006 - Portland
It was first held February 3-5, 2006 in Portland, Oregon, USA,[1] with 147 people in attendance. The camp was held for a second year over February 2-4, 2007 in Portland, Oregon, USA. The third camp was held as RococoBarCamp in May 2007 in Montreal, Quebec, Canada.
The event was conceived at WikiSym 2005 as a way to replicate on-line wiki collaboration in the face-to-face world, using Open Space Technology. The agenda was created on the fly by the participants, guaranteeing that all issues that participants were willing to take responsibility for were worked on to the extent possible. [1]
During the 3 day conference, there were from 6 to 12 sessions simultaneously occurring, which ranged from 60 to 90 minutes in length. The LawOfTwoFeet advised attendees to simply walk to another session, if they weren't getting the most out of the one they were attending.
With schedules continually evolving at a dizzying pace, the wiki was used by many to kept track of events, using free WiFi or one of 12 Internet terminals supplied by Free Geek.
Some of the 100 to 200 people in attendance in February 2006 were Ward Cunningham (author of the original Wiki), Raymond King of AboutUs.org, Eugene Eric Kim of PurpleWiki, and Nancy White. Many flew to Portland specifically for the event.
Sponsors of the 2006 event were: ICANNWiki, IBESI, OSDL, Socialtext, Atlassian and IBM.

Montreal 2007's event was from 18-20 May 2007. It was also called RoCoCoCamp; the name was chosen to echo the "RCC" initials in "RecentChangesCamp" with more recognition of Montreal's French-speaking population. However, many participants called the event "RecentChangesCamp Montreal" or "RecentChangesCamp 2007". The theme of the event was "AccidentalLinking", a wiki pattern about surprising, serendipitous relationships between wiki writers and wiki pages.
The event was held at the Société des arts technologiques (SAT) in downtown Montreal. Attendees included Sunir Shah of MeatballWiki, Angela Beesley of Wikia, Evan Prodromou and Michele Jenkins of Wikitravel, several organizers of Keiki, Ray King and others from AboutUs.org, Earle Martin of OpenGuides, and many other wiki practitioners and businesspeople. Technical leads from many prominent wiki engines (Tim Starling of MediaWiki, Patrick Michaud of PmWiki, Marc Laporte of TikiWiki, Reini Urban of PhpWiki, and Andreas Gohr of DokuWiki) also were in attendance. The event also included about 120 other participants from the wiki world, from the Montreal technical community, and other self-organizing groups.

RecentChangesCamp 2008 took place May 9 - 11 in Palo Alto, California, USA. It was held at the SocialText offices. The theme of the weekend was Assume Good Faith, and the sponsors were AboutUs.org, Atlassian, Socialtext, Solseed, Wikia, and wikiHow.
