Cane Hill College, located in Canehill, Arkansas, was among the first higher institutions of education in Northwest Arkansas and Washington County, Arkansas.
[edit] History
Initially established as Cane Hill School in 1834 by the local Presbyterian church, the school was elevated to a college by a December 15, 1852 act of the Arkansas legislature. At the time of this establishment, Cane Hill College became the third college in existence in the entire state of Arkansas.[2]
