Control Room Operator? I am unfamiliar with this term as defined by the NRC. While manipulation of the controls is allowed by a trainee under the direct supervision... etc etc (See 10CFR-55 for more info if desired), such a person is just a trainee. There is no special regulatory title for this person. I'll change it for now and can discuss if desired. I will provide the trainee text from 10CFR at the bottom of the section.
