Real McKenzies is a Scottish-influenced Celtic punk band founded in Vancouver, Canada in 1992.
In addition to writing and performing original music, Real McKenzies resurrect traditional Scottish songs,[citation needed] giving them a new punk-influenced sound. They include bagpipes in all of their studio albums and at most of their concerts. The band tours extensively, including an eight-month, 23-country tour in a van.[citation needed] On some of these tours, they have shared stages with Rancid, DragStrip Riot, NOFX, Flogging Molly, Rough Chukar, The Misfits, Metallica, Voodoo Glow Skulls and even Shane MacGowan.[citation needed] Their songs have been used in beer commercials and featured in video games such as Tony Hawk Underground.[citation needed]
