Real is a European hypermarket, member of the German trade and retail giant Metro Group.

In 2006 Metro acquired Wal-Mart's 85 stores in Germany[1] and in Poland, bought 26 hypermarkets Géant from the French retail group Groupe Casino.[2] All stores were rebranded to Real.
