PREFACE THE following Argument cannot pretend to bring forward more than a part of the witness of Holy Scripture to the doctrine of the Real Presence. Upon the truth of the Real Presence, the Eucharistic Sacrifice and Eucharistic Adoration depend. Space did not permit the discussion of the two latter in the present Paper. God grant that this appeal to Holy Scripture may tend to convince some, who profess to care for no other authority, that the Catholic doctrine of the Real Presence forms part of the Faith which was once delivered unto the Saints.
