All of the insanity of "funny tags" can be summarized as five pillars that define the character of the tags as a group:
Mock real tags: It's best when you make fun of specific tags. Like in the "Cleanup" Tag I made. |
| |
Use images that would really be used in a tag: If you don't have a specific tag to make fun of, be sure to use high quality images, or, preferably SVGs, that look good at a low resolution, and look similar to images that could be found on real tags. |
| |
Avoid using slang and cusses: Since real tags use understandible, civil, straightforward language, so should the funny tags. Make the tag as believable as possible. |
| |
Reference popular culture: Making fun of, or referencing pop culture is allowed, and even sometimes encouraged as long as it is within reason of the five pillars. |
| |
Be creative: The best funny tags are the creative ones. Make sure to use as much creativity as possible! |
Funny template messages (aka: funny tags) are a phenomenon not unlike the Uncylopedia template messages. They were first created by Rbpolsen♦☺♦ Talk to me! and are now beginning to spread.
