Robert D. Baldassarre Managing Director, KPMG LLP Economic and Valuation Services
Robert D. Baldassarre is a Managing Director in KPMG’s Economic and Valuation Services practice, based in Boston. Robert specializes in global restructuring, tax planning and compliance. He has experience in the transfers of tangible and intangible property, inter-company services, related-party financial transactions, and tax-related valuations. Robert’s client base includes Fortune 500 companies in the high-tech, consumer goods, and financial service sectors.
Robert has 14 years of experience in economic analysis and consulting. Prior to joining KPMG, he served as an internal management consultant in logistics and operations research at Compaq. He also held positions in the private sector as an Economist and Forecast Manager at Standard & Poor’s, and in the public sector as a development economist for the Massachusetts Executive Office of Economic Affairs under Governor Weld. He began his career as a Budget Policy Analyst for the Massachusetts Legislature. Rob graduated from Boston University with an undergraduate degree in economics and international relations and an MBA in finance and economics.
Robert is also active in the Boston business community and in civic affairs. He has served for two years as the KPMG representative to Massachusetts Incorporated, a business and public policy think tank. He has served as a board member of the Commonwealth Corporation, a quasi-public economic development agency, since being appointed to this position in 2004 by Governor Romney. Robert is also a member of the Associated Industries of Massachusetts, the MIT Forum, the National Association of Business Economists, and the National Italian American Foundation.
