Raymond Zane

Raymond J. Zane is an American Republican Party politician, who served in the New Jersey State Senate from 1974 to 2002, where he represented the 3rd Legislative District.
Zane had been a Democrat, and switched parties in February 2001.[1] Zane was defeated by Democrat Stephen M. Sweeney in the 2001 elections.[2] The race was the most expensive in New Jersey history at the time, totalling to $2.4 million dollars, until $4 million was spent in Fred H. Madden's successful race to unseat George Geist in 2003.
