Raymond Fred Gunkel (February 16, 1924 - August 1, 1972), known professionally as Ray Gunkel, was an American professional wrestler and promoter in the state of Georgia. He is best known for having died of a heart attack after a match in Savannah, Georgia versus Ox Baker.
Though it was reported that Gunkel died from Baker's finishing move, the Heart Punch, this was not the case.
