Ray Downey (born September 23, 1968 in Halifax County, Nova Scotia) was a Canadian boxer, who won a light middleweight bronze medal at the 1988 Summer Olympics. In 1990 he gained silver at the 1990 Commonwealth Games.

- Won the Light Middleweight Bronze Medal for Canada at the 1988 Olympics in Seoul, South Korea. Results were:

- Defeated Norbert Nieroba (West Germany) 3-2
- Defeated Abrar Hussain Syed (Pakistan) 5-0
- Defeated Martin Kitel (Sweden) 5-0
- Lost to Si-Hun Park (South Korea) 0-5
- Competed as a Light Middleweight at the 1992 Barcelona Olympic Games. Result was:
