[edit] Blue Mosque
This mosque cannot be called the Blue Mosque as the Sultanahmet Camii in Istanbul is globally known as the Blue Mosque. Moreover, the mosque is not similar to the Alhambra as the Alhambra is Moorish Architecture (Islamic Architecture) and the Rawze-e-Sharif is part of Persian architecture. [edit] Why a Middle East stub?
Afghanistan is a SAARC member. It is mostly considered to be a part of South Asia, and sometimes a part of Central Asia. This article should be classified more accurately. deeptrivia (talk) 02:40, 4 September 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Revision
I changed the wording about a little, removed comparison to Alhambra (that doesn't add anything ... there are many large mosques), and removed the ME stub notation. I agree that Afghanistan is not in the Middle East; it's Central Asian.
Anyone want to do an article on largest mosques in the world? That might be interesting. I wonder what the largest is ... the Grand Mosque in Mecca? The Prophet's Mosque in Medina? Zora 07:08, 4 September 2006 (UTC)
