The article on Holding could perhaps be merged into this article.
This article reads a bit like an essay in places - quasi-poetic, and with examples tied mainly to the United Kingdom. Perhaps the article could be expanded with examples from other common law jurisdictions (uh-oh, does that mean I'm electing myself for the job?). Yours, Famspear 20:54, 2 January 2007 (UTC)
I'm not sure about the Ratio being: "... a legal phrase which refers to the legal, moral, political, and social principles used by a court ..." Getting into a discussion about the moral, political and social influences on the Ratio seem more fit for an article on positivism, naturalism, and realism??--RawEgg1 10:59, 22 May 2007 (UTC)
